WHY MOREHOUSE?

Morehouse for me is a sanctuary for black men that allows us to manifest dreams that we once deemed unattainable. Morehouse has presented me with a representation of black men that I’ve never seen before, which has affirmed and validated my aspirations and my identity.

MORE ABOUT AN ACHIEVEMENT

The achievement I am most proud of is my book, Connected Division. I put together this book when I was a senior in high school. I shot and edited all the images, did the layout myself, printed the pages, and cut and bound the book myself by hand. This book was my first work of art that was published and gained a lot of city-wide notoriety because of its focus on segregation in Chicago. I am proud that I was able to create dialogue around our social issues within my community through my art.
