Bryson Houston '21

Mr. Houston studies Biology on the Pre-Med track and hails from DeSoto, TX, where he attended the Greenhill School.

Why did you initially choose to attend Morehouse?

I chose Morehouse College because of the expansive network the College brings while in school and after graduation. There is no better place for the achievement of Black male excellence.

What has kept you at Morehouse?

I see all of the opportunities that this College can provide if I commit myself.

Why did you choose to study Biology on the Pre-Med Track?

I have aspirations of becoming a surgeon and I believe this is the best path for me.

Outside of Biology, what have you spent time learning about?

Mentorship and emotional intelligence.

More about Bryson’s conditional acceptance into UPenn:

As of today, I am extremely proud of gaining acceptance into the PASS-HBCU program at University of Pennsylvania. This is an invite-only program that allows me admittance into the Perelman School of Medicine, given I maintain my studies while still at Morehouse.  I continue to make my parents and loved ones around me proud which I can say is and will always be my greatest achievement.
