JOSHUA REED ‘19

Joshua Reed '19

Mr. Reed studies Cinema, Technology, Emerging Studies (CTEMS) and hails from Alexandria, VA, where he attended St. Stephen's & St. Agnes School.

Why Morehouse?

I chose to attend Morehouse because of its legacy of producing Black men who are leaders in their field. I wanted to be a part of the institution’s tradition, and be surrounded by young Black students, in the Atlanta University Center, who are all striving towards a common goal. In this era, the mission of HBCUs is more important than ever.

More about Joshua and Spike Lee:

Over the summer of 2018, I had an opportunity to work on the second season of the Netflix Original series “She’s Gotta Have It” as a Production Assistant. It was an amazing experience to see how a television set works and to witness fellow Morehouse alum, Spike Lee, in action.
