Why Morehouse?

From birth Morehouse has been a part of me. My father graduating from Morehouse in 1981 plays a significant role in my decision to attend this historic institution. Although initially apprehensive, I immediately felt at home on campus. I remember my father telling me Morehouse is full of “nuggets of gold.” These nuggets of gold are inspiring brothers encouraging me to perform optimally academically and socially; professors and faculty entirely investing in my success, and immeasurable opportunities allowing me to delve deeper into my future vocation while traveling the world. Having Morehouse College as my foundation, I have been able to achieve more than I ever dreamed possible. The spirit that this institution brings despite any difficulty is what crafts young men into culturally conscious and resilient leaders.
