Myles Smith '19

Mr. Smith studied Economics with a focus on Mathematics as well as Art History and hails from Silver Spring, MD, where he attended Georgetown Preparatory School.

I initially came to Morehouse for a myriad of reasons. That said, I felt that the Morehouse experience was particularly critical to my personal development. Having bounced around between diverse public schools and conservative private schools, Morehouse offered me a chance to holistically enrich my education experience. All the while, Morehouse introduced me to an exceptional network of Black men that I could not have possibly found elsewhere.

I co-founded the Soulace Creative in the January of my freshman year. Free of sexism, racism, and socioeconomic bias my co-founder and I have worked to establish and maintain the website as a hotbed for intercultural material that artists would like to share. Over time, our following base has reached collegiate-level artists across the nation.
